Altendorf
Altendorf is one of the world’s best-known manufacturers of sliding table saws and edgebanders for the woodworking industry. The company was founded in 1906 in Minden, Germany, and is particularly well known for the F 45 sliding table saw, which for decades has been a preferred choice among joineries, furniture manufacturers and industrial companies worldwide.
The F 45 is so well established in the industry that the term “an Altendorf” is often used as a synonym for a sliding table saw.
Today, the Altendorf range also includes edgebanders. These machines are based on the technology and experience developed by Hebrock over many years. Hebrock became part of the Altendorf Group in 2018, and the edgebanders are now marketed under the Altendorf name.
With production in Germany and companies in countries including Australia, China, India and the USA, Altendorf supplies machinery solutions to woodworking companies around the world.
The saw that protects your fingers
With a new Altendorf Hand Guard sliding table saw, the risk of workplace accidents can be significantly reduced. Altendorf has gained widespread recognition for its unique Hand Guard system, which provides a high level of safety for the machine operator.
Using data from two small cameras on the machine, the system monitors the operator’s hand movements. If a dangerous situation is detected, the risk is removed immediately and the saw blade drops below the table within a quarter of a second. Altendorf has therefore developed a system that reacts before contact with the blade occurs, helping to prevent accidents and protect the operator.
After the machine has performed an emergency stop, it can be restarted after 10 seconds so work can continue. Neither the machine nor the saw blade is damaged, helping to maintain productivity.

Edge Banding Without Glue Lines
If you want to ensure that the edges of your cabinet doors and panels have the right finish and durability, find the solution among Biesse's many edge banders. You’ll enjoy unique flexibility, as you can choose an edge bander that supports both EVA and PUR adhesives.
In addition, the edge banders are available with a new patented AirForce system, enabling glue-free edges. The AirForce module heats and softens the backside of the edge band, allowing it to be pressed—or more accurately, melted—onto the panel, providing a seamless edge without visible glue lines.
