Software and data are the key to the future of manufacturing

Biesse invests in software – Junget is ready with a dedicated software team

Biesse's investment in software company Orchestra Srl sends a clear signal about the direction modern manufacturing is heading. At Junget, we see this investment as confirmation of a trend that is already well underway—one where software, data, and intelligent production workflows are becoming just as important as the machines themselves.

The Italian machinery manufacturer Biesse has announced the acquisition of Orchestra Srl, a software company that develops digital solutions for production planning, machine integration, and production process monitoring.

The acquisition forms part of Biesse's long-term strategy to strengthen its digital platform and develop even more intelligent solutions for modern manufacturing companies. At the same time, Biesse has reported a positive half-year financial result and returned to profitability—a strong indication that the company is on the right track while continuing to invest in the future.

At Junget, we see this as a clear reflection of where the industry is heading. Investing in production is no longer just about selecting the right machine. The companies achieving the greatest competitive advantages are those that successfully connect machines, software, and production data into one efficient manufacturing workflow. Data has become the foundation for better planning, higher capacity utilisation, fewer errors, and faster decision-making.

Junget supports manufacturers with a dedicated software team

As the official Biesse distributor in Denmark, Junget has built a dedicated software team consisting of three software engineers who help manufacturers with everything from CAD/CAM and machine integration to data exchange, production optimisation, and automation.

"We are seeing a significant increase in demand for solutions where software and data create seamless integration across the entire production process. Today, investing in a new machine is no longer enough—the real value comes from making the entire production workflow work intelligently together. That is why we see Biesse's investment as both visionary and fully aligned with the developments we are experiencing among Danish manufacturing companies," says Jan Weier, CEO of Junget.

In recent years, Junget has invested significantly in strengthening its expertise in digital manufacturing. Through the company's Innovation Lab, customers can experience first-hand how software, data, and machinery work together in practice, and how digital solutions can be transformed into measurable improvements in production.

Biesse's investment in Orchestra Srl is therefore more than a corporate acquisition. It highlights a global trend in which software and data are becoming an increasingly important part of the complete manufacturing solution. It is a development that Junget is already helping Danish manufacturers translate into higher productivity, better resource utilisation, and stronger competitiveness.

For manufacturing companies, the message is clear: the competitive advantage of tomorrow will not be built on powerful machines alone—it will be created by the ability to connect people, machines, software, and data into one intelligent production environment.
